My 2nd Quarter Journey

The second quarter has been a whirlwind of new experiences, but one stands out in particular: my introduction to HTML. Before this, the internet felt like a magical black box. Now, I'm beginning to understand the code that brings websites to life. This reflection explores my journey, the challenges I faced, and the exciting possibilities that lie ahead.
For me, HTML seemed like a collection of tags and attributes. I remember staring blankly at my screen, unsure of where to even begin. The
<head>, <body>, and </title> tags felt like a foreign language. My first attempts at creating a simple webpage were riddled with errors. I almost spent the whole class period fixing it trying to debug why my text or image wouldn't appear. It was frustrating, but I was able to understand this by the help of my sit mates and with the simple and brief explanation of our teacher. However, one of the biggest hurdles was understanding the structure of an HTML document. I struggled with the concept of nesting elements and how different tags interact with each other. But as days pass by I began experimenting with different HTML elements. I learned how to create headings, paragraphs, lists, and links.
Looking back, I'm amazed at how much I've learned in such a short amount of time. HTML is no longer a mysterious language, but a tool that I can use to express myself and create something meaningful. I'm excited to continue my HTML journey and explore more advanced concepts like responsive design and web accessibility. The possibilities are endless, and I can't wait to see what I can create in the future.
