    Vigan is a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE CITY IN THE PHILIPPINES, renowned as the best-preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia, with its unique architecture blending Spanish, Filipino, and Chinese influences, cobblestone streets, ancestral houses, and rich cultural history making it a significant cultural and historical destination. Visitors cam explore the city on horse-drawn carriages known as kalesas. savor local Ilocano delicacies like longganisa and experience vibrant traditions, particularly during festivals. 
Plaza Burgos is a historic public square in Vigan, named after Filipino martyr Father Jose P. Burgos. Known for its monument to him and as vibrant cultural hub next to St. Paul Cathedral. It features colonial architecture, lush greenery, and stalls selling local delicacies like empanada and okoy, making
it popular spot for locals and tourists to relax, socialize, and experience Vigan's heritage.


Calle Crisologo, also known as Mena Crisologo Street, is Vigan City's primary tourist attraction, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its well-preserved Spanish colonial architecture, cobblestone streets, and horse-drawn carriages or kalesa that creates a nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of the Manila-Acapulco trade era. The street is lined with ancestral houses now converted into museums, innsm shop selling local crafts and delicacies, and restaurants offering authentic Ilocano cuisine.


The Elpidio Quirino Museum is a gallery within the National Museum of the Philippines Ilocos Regional Museum Complex in Vigan, housed in the Old Provincial Jail where he was born in 1890. It features personal belongings, memorabilia, artworks like portraits by Amorsolo, and a bust by Guillermo Tolentino, celebrating the life and legacy of the sixth Philippine President, with exhibitions often supported by the Elpidio Quirino Foundation. 



Plaza Salcedo is Vigan's historic town center, a popular public park named after Spanish conquistador Juan de Salcedo, famous for its evening dancing fountain light and music shows and surrounded by heritage sites. It's a central hub for cultural events, known for its Spanish colonial architecture, the Salcedo Obelisk, and its poignant history as the site of Gabriela Silang's 1763 execution.
