Climate Change

 ----- Climate Change and Resilience of  Filipino's -----

    Climate change is referred to the long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns.

    Attributed largely to the increased levels of carbon dioxide produced by burning fossil fuels and human activities. Climate change became a world known problem that every country faces. It is a problem that needs the attention of higher officials of the government and of course the people.

    Furthermore, climate change has a huge impact on our economy, mainly towards agriculture. Farmer crops and livestock production are affected due to the bad and unpredictable weather patterns--reducing crop yields, water scarcity, increased pest, diseases, and extreme heat. There are also times that climate change affects the sector of education. As a student, I can say that climate change causes shifts in class schedules. Like when I was in grade 8, it is often half day due to severe heat and when I was in grade 9 which is last year, most of October is class suspension leading to make-up classes.

 It proves that climate changes have a huge impact in society. It breaks our view towards living a peaceful life, telling us that climate change is a challenge faced by us Filipinos aside from illiteracy in education and corruption in politics. It is a common factor that contributes to other crises in our country

    However, with the unity of our countrymen--the effects of climate change can be avoided. We can do simple things that have a big impact on our environment.

    Like planting trees to lessen the emission of carbon dioxide, be and show how to be eco-friendly so that---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    You can be a role model to your community, advocate about environmental awareness and educate others about the importance of caring for our mother nature.

    Be reminded about the effects of climate change in the environment. As a student, we should apply what we learn to our everyday life, not for ourselves but for the others. Therefore, be a Filipino that helps its fellow countrymen, to contribute to our country and to help our environment.
